1.  The Alaska Energy Authority has awarded nearly $21 million in grants to Golden Valley Electric Association to pay for three projects that will make the co-op’s system, and the Railbelt grid it’s connected to, more reliable. 

2. Former President Jimmy Carter was memorialized Thursday in a ceremony at the U.S. Capitol. And two Anchorage men say Carter made a big impression on them when he visited Alaska in 2000.

3. The Alaska Gasline Development Corporation announced Thursday it’s in talks with a New York- and Houston-based company to take over the $44 billion Alaska LNG Project.

4. Lawmakers return to Juneau later this month to begin the first session of the 34th Alaska Legislature. And an Alaska Public Media state government reporter looks ahead to the session.
